The Seam Line
A library as a neighborhood heritage center , whose main purpose is to connect the residents of the neighborhood to the neighborhood.
The seam line offers enrichment, gathering areas, expoure to the history and the heritage of the neighborhood.
The library was built on the skeleton of the mythological "kolnoa darom" in Hatikvah neighborhood.
Central Hall
The skeleton of "kolnoa Darom" is reflected in the building, and creates an echo of the old skeleton in the new building.

Reading / study rooms
Since the existing skeleton created a division in the new space, I planned a seating system forward the bookshelves on the second floor, thus creating intimate or collaborative areas for library visitors to sit, read and study.

Reading room
In order to make optimal use of the space, I created a partioin with book shelves on the skeleton.

Outdoor seating area
I created openings between the bookshelves which creates glimpses into the neighborhood and vice versa.

Another look
The use of glass is presented through out the entire library in order to allow a wide range of view to the neighborhood.

Side entrance
I created a passage at the entrance that simulates a tunnel that leads you into the library and at the same time provides glimpses to the neighborhood , the combination of the two empowers the nerative of the library.
